What is this?
This is the Seegras FAQ, which means, that this is a FAQ on me. A FAQ is a list of Frequently Asked Questions (and answers to them). It normally doesn't refer to "Fuck", that's a common german mispeling. Well, FAQ you.

How old is this FAQ
Well, parts of it several years. That's why it's like this. Much of it I wouldn't say like this anymore. You know, one gets older, more sarcastic and more childish.

How did you get your name?
I happened to be on a live-action roleplaying game where I was playing the Ex-Pirate Seegras. It stuck. And I like it.

What about that "Killer"-name?
Killer? well... In fact, some people came to this name because of my familiy name, which is Keel. So they kept calling me Killer.

Your Alignment?
I am politically incorrect, ultra-liberal, libertarian, businessman, personal-freedom fighter, internet-anarchist, anti-bureaucrat, technomancer, bisexual, architect of virtual buildings, designer of my own lifestyle, and - in short words - I am the businessman of the 21th century. Others say I'm just some vanilla unix-hacker.

Your Measures?
I'm 175cm tall. my measures used to be 93-68-86 with a weight that was probably 62 kg. No,we won't go any further.

How do you look like?
Pretty ;-) Looking at me from bottom to top (always do everything this way), I wear sneakers or steel-capped boots, always black army-style trousers (they've got nice pockets on every side, t-shirt with some meaningful subject (like "DOOM" or "Linux") -- I hate clothing which contains merchandising imprinted; pullover, preferably black or woollen, black leather jacket or sacko, sometimes a trenchcoat, no tie, glasses and probably a hat. Speaking of hats, I normally wear some baseball-cap with meaningful "Bugs Bunny" print, or sometimes a black hat. And of course, I also wear medieval gear, like thight trousers, Schecke and Armour (15th century), not on the street, though ;)).

Your Hobbys?
Looting, plundering, ransacking and pillage Well. The Problem is, you get seldom to do it. So we try instead to care for our enviroment and the neighbours and support sustainable development. And for further occupying me, I play roleplaying games, program C/C++ and try to get my LINUX running even better.

Do you take Drugs?
Like most people do. In my case it's plenty of coffeeine and a reasonable amount of alcohol. Since I wasn't able to play DOOM after consuming marihuana I stopped it. I mean I stopped smoking marihuana, not playing Doom ;-). I also stopped smoking. nicotine is a bitch.

Your Political point of View?
I don't fit into any left-right paradigm. Some people would consider me left-extreme, others would say I'm a merciless business-oriented capitalist. All I can say is that I value freedom very much. This means I am liberal in questions of personal and economical scale equally. Communists don't like me because I'm defender of the free market, Socialists don't like me because I'm not social enough, the conservatives don't like me because I'm too progressive, the right wing doesn't like me because I'm too liberal, the fascists don't like me because I express thought. So's that.

What things do you like?
I like having Sex (with someone else), I love love, and I like Roleplaying and I like having a keyboard under my fingers, and I like parties, and I like to live, and I like forests, and I like good music and I like nice people, I like beer, I like watching films, I like gorgonzola, I like bass, I like Doom, I like Unix, I like non-profit things, I like jazz and ska and hardcore, I'd like to visit saturn, I like talking, I like coffee, I like the Internet, I like to dance, I like competence, I like writing, I like putting myself on a stage, I like acting, I'd like to live in a democracy, I like anarchy, I like free market, I like C, I like books, I like irony, I like live-action roleplaying and reenactment, I like kidding, I like my sister, I like honesty and I like ME.

What do you like not?

Your interest in computers?
Born to Unix Well, I actually can handle (insert Microsoft program of choice). But I don't want to. It's like a Jazz-Musician who should play so-called entertainment-music. He can, but he definitly doesn't want to, unless he's very low on money. So things I consider interesting are unix, C, perl, cgi-programming, html-design, putting up unix-servers, computer-security, user interfaces, low-level networking and sociology and computers.

Who is Kirth Gersen?
Protagonist of a series of novels known as "Oikumene of the Demon Princes Pentalogy" from Jack Vance. Among these ovels, I've just read "The Killing Machine" the second, 1964. German Translation as "Die Mordmaschine", Heyne Science Fiction, No. 3141. Kirth Gersen is a secret agent of the police-forces. Those agents are generally known as "weasels". He's working more or less for the police, but more for his own aims, which is mainly vengeance for the murder of his parents and friends, as a major part of the populace of his homeworld was slaughtered. So he's up to some five major bosses of organized crime. Anyway, there's even some neato parody on it in The Vance Phile #2
We were running a sci-fi roleplaying campaign, and there I recycled the name Kirth Gersen. That Kirth Gersen there was a police-agent as well, though an EX-one, jettisoned for some big faults. As I later discovered, the person I played was nearly exactly like the protagonist Agent Felix Stone in the movie "Moon 44". And that's why I chose "Kirth" as handle when joining the ezinfo.ethz.ch the second time (the first time, I had a public account as "zodiac", an account I still have -- until the ezinfo dies. This was, btw, my first contact with the internet, somewhere in 1993 I guess). As well, I was known as "kirth" in several mailboxes at that time.
Something that appeals me is that the name is composed of two languages, "kirth" being english and "gersen" being german.

Who is Jonathan Apfelkern?
Me too In fact, another alter ego of mine. Jonathan Apfelkern is not only a Name, but actually me. I am Jonathan Apfelkern. If you don't grok this, you don't grok zen. Besides that, Jonathan is the name of some sort of Apples, and "Apfelkern" translates to "Appleseed" in english. Now grok it? Not? Well, "Jonathan Appleseed" is a Metaphor for some guy who kicks on some development. That's me. Kilopope Jonathan Apfelkern 1-2-3, Episkopos of the Discordian Cabal of Cable.

What is Boskop?
A sort of Apple A bit sour one. Most people only make cider out of it. But it's the best there is.
