Cobalt-Class Shuttlecraft

Cobalt-Class Shuttlecraft

Designed as a utility craft for smaller military ships, the Cobalt is a small wedge-shaped craft with fairly powerful drives. Carrying six passengers and 20m3 of cargo, the craft could accelerate at 3 gravities for over eight hours. The rectangular cabin has two doors in the shoulder position and one tail ramp. The pilot sits in the nose, with the passengers sitting three to a side, facing inwards. The cargo space lies behind the passenger space.

The craft is lightly armed, carrying a single 3600 kW laser lance under the belly. This is fired by the pilot at a cyclic rate of fire of one shot per 4.5 seconds, or 400ROF. The shuttle is defended by EMM, but the primary means of evoiding fire is evasion.
